モダニズム以降の著名な建築家に邸宅の依頼をするでもなく、多少の例外はあるにせよお金で集めましたといった感じがせず、以前からずっとあった、もしくはなんとなく集まったような調度品。上記の人々の邸宅や暮らしぶりは市井の生活とは程遠いが見過ごすのは大変惜しい。

ダイアナ・ヴリーランド (Diana Vreeland) がヴォーグのアメリカ版の編集長だった頃に刊行された、ヴォーグが興味を持ったアメリカやヨーロッパで暮らしている名のある人々の住まいとその暮らしを取材し誌面で紹介したものをまとめた1冊。写真はすべてホルスト (Horst) が担当。自らの瀟宅も紹介している。

本の状態：ジャケットに2箇所破れ、縁部分に多少のキズあり。見返しにほんの少し汚れあり。その他は経年変化程度。
